I am making a graduation cake that needs to have a football incorporated.  It will be 1/2 sheet size and I was thinking of getting the Wilton football pan.  Will that be too big for the middle of the cake?  Any other ideas?  I worry that I would never get RKT shaped just right and I haven't sculpted too many cakes either. Thanks!

I made a half sheet cake for my BIL's birthday and put a football on top (it was decorated like a football field). I used the Wilton egg pan and there was plenty of room. I'm not sure if the football pan is the same size...

good luck!

wilton football pan size is 225mm. I got one, but have not used it yet. It seems to be the size of an actual ball! hope it helps.
