Just saw a snipit on the news that starting November 1st Oklahoma will allow home bakeries. Anyone have more info on this?
This is all I have been able to find.
Does this mean that I don't have to be inspected, have all the required appliances needed for a business, etc...?
AHi Danielle Here is a link to the actual bill http://openstates.org/ok/bills/2013-2014/HB1094/documents/OKD00017234/
It's pretty straight forward sales up to $20,000 , items must be labeled that they come from a home based bakery.
AOK already passed a cottage food law that will be going into effect this November, under this law the income limit is $20K/year with some restrictions (for example, no fresh fruit) and no inspection is required.
However there is another cottage food bill working its way through the OK legislature that would remove or relax some of these restrictions, but would require home inspections. If the second bill is signed into law it's not clear which law will take precedence or if OK bakers will have two options.

Thanks a million!
