I have just been asked to make a chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting filling. This cake will be covered in butter cream then fondant.... Is that a good combination? Has anyone tried this before?

Is devils chocolate cake recipe a good combination with cream cheese filling? Or does anyone have a better suggestion ? I have never made this before and my client seamed very unsure of what to pick for the cake filling.  should i talk her out of it or will this actually taste good?  icon_eek.gif

I wouldn't sell anything I hadn't made before; I'd just make a wee taster for myself, see if I like it and whether it needs any adjustments... if its good then offer it to the customer. I find ganache is great with choc cake; orange & milk-choc ganache particularly! :-)
