Molding A Face...

I always see these incredible cakes and id just like to take a shot at it one day.  Is anyone able to tell me anything about how to mold a face? thanks!!

ADo you mean out of cake or gum-paste or fondant? I think a lot of it is just natural talent, either you can or can't! Mine always look terrible! There is a Craftsy class where Mike McCarey (sp?) does a face shaped cake, it looks like a good one to teach technique. Anne Heap has one that teaches molding them from fondant or whatever.

I was wondering the same thing... out of cake or out of gumpaste?  They are definitely very different! :)  As for gumpaste, you really have to find what type of "face" works for you, like playing with clay when you were a kid. :)  As for cake... I have no clue! :)
