I'm going to make my first banana cake today.  I'm at a loss on which flavor of buttercream I should use. Suggestions anyone?

Bikemom3- That sounds delicious! I'll have to search for a recipe.

I like coffee flavoured icing for my banana cake , I know it sounds strange but the flavours really work together.

AI use the caramel buttercream from the Wilton website. My family loves it but it is very soft for decorating.

Thanks everyone!!! I tried the caramel buttercream and it was delicious. I'm definitely going to try the coffee, chocolate and peanut butter in the future. I was thinking of combining the chocolate and peanut butter idea together, since my favorite shake is a chocolate banana peanut...lol. How can I go wrong with that:)
