Does anyone know how to apply chopped nuts or sprinkles to the side of the cake so that it doesn't look like a complete mess?

I think that I saw on here somewhere that you frost only the sides of the cake and then roll the cake, if you are doing a round, or gently set the cake sides in the nuts of sprinkles. Then place the cake back in the upright position and frost the top.

Hope this helps!! icon_lol.gif

The only way I know is to slightly tilt the iced cake (carefully!) and with your hand cupped and full of nuts (or sprinkles) press it into the side of the cake and let the excess fall back off. Rotate the cake a little and repeat until all sides are covered!
