Aim new to CC i have been trying to find a whipped cream frosting stabilized enought to pipe onto cupcakes. can anyone give me any suggestions or recipes thanks :)
Hi, this is the one i use mostly. I sometimes use piping gel as per the wilotn site. Always been happy with it. Others may answer also.
This is one i have seen posted also on this site. I want to try this. Also some use just regular cream cheese.
AThanks i will give it a try
How long will this stabilized whipped cream stay pretty before it deflates? I want to make minature cheesecakes for a event coming up on Friday evening; do I make the whipped cream a few hours before the event and pipe it on to the cheesecake then? Do I need to put in frig to have the whipped cream set? I think my biggest worry is getting there setting up and as the people arrive the whipped cream deflates....Maybe I should do a test....I really would like to decorate them before I went to the venue.
APipe the whipped cream on the night before so it sets up in the fridge n is more stable while you tke it to your venue. It would be useful if there is a fridge at the venue so you can put them in there while you set up. But as its quite cold outside n temp are low you should be okay even if you leave them out while setting up. I make my cupcakes with fresh cream frosting n hve travelled with thm a long distance even in hot temp n thy were fine. As long as u let thm set up in the fridge do thyre cool whn u tke thm. Hope this helps!
Thank you so much!!! I will pipe the cheesecakes the afternoon before and put them in the car as the very last think. I have little plates that they will set on that if put in freezer will stay cold...maybe that will help some too! Thank you....I didn't want to stand there and pipe whipped cream on them as they are eaten! Thank you thank you thank you!
ANo worriess i work with whipped cream a lot so have learned with experience. Good luck im sure it will work out!!

AHi, I used that exact recipe for the first time today and only needed to pipe some shell and star borders around a cake but the frosting got runny before I finished! Where did I go wrong? Was it something I did wrong with the gelatin?
i made it once with just a little bit of water geletin and cream the recipe had me cook the geletin with the water on the stove but i ended up with clumps of gelitine in my whiped cream was not happy had to redo it. i will be using the similar medhod that was posting but with the cold water instead
