AI bought some pre made gumpaste stars for a cake. They are white. I would like to color them red and black. Is there a way to do this w/o painting them? I was thinking dilute gel color and dip them. Will this work?

I would thin out your food coloring with vodka and then paint them.  Or airbrush them.
