AHello all! Next Wednesday I will be serving up a three tiered super hero cake for a Christmas party. My bottom tier will be square, and the next two tiers round. The plan is to make two sides of the square Spider Man and two Super Man. Question #1, how do I apply two different fondants? I'd like to have red and blue. I'd prefer only one layer of fondant. I hope this makes sense.

Question #2, any suggestions for the web? Should I paint black food color onto the red fondant, or use royal icing?

You can try rolling different pieces of fondant together...I dont know how well that would work though

And you should use food color to paint it

AThanks! I thought about rolling them both together. After I posted I wondered if I could and then cover the marble-ish seam on one side with a blue fondant "cape" and then the other side with white buttercream clouds.

I've seen on cake shows where they simply overlap one color with the other then cut the edge and remove the unwanted scraps. But I don't know how to seal the two together.

Thanks for your reply!
