I am an at home baker searching for an air brush. I don't want an expensive one. I heard a lot about the KopyKake air brushes but I am not sure if I want to spend that much money. I have a few cakes coming up so I need to know soon if I want to buy it for those cakes. What is a good brand? Where can I find a good air brush for the lowest amount of money?

Go to a local hardware store, and look for a small airbrush kit. I found a kit for like 60 bucks, included a compressor, hoses, airbrush gun with a few cups, etc. It isnt made for cake decorating, so you have to make sure the pressure is low, but itll work until youre ready to upgrade. Then the compressor can still be used with any gun. FYI, the "kopykake" style gun is kinda crappy. Not adjustable, small color cup. If youre gonna spend money on one, go with the Aztek brand. It has color lids, several different nozzles, wayyy adjustable on pressure and color amounts....Its sweet. Check it out at

Try TPC Global

They have a starter kit for $80 and it includes a set of 4 colors. I got mine about 2 years ago and still use it. I even dropped the compressor once and it still works fine. They also have a store on ebay.
