I need some help. How to I get a gray color to paint on fondant. I either have Michaels or joanns to get the items from. I am make a cake that nerds to be sponged painted gray. Can someone please help!

So just using black coloring and vodka mixed will do the trick?

If I mix gray luster and vodka can I paint with it?

Yes, you should test it first; but black gel color diluted heavily with vodka or lemon extract will work fine.
