I'm making a cupcake tower for my sister's wedding in a couple of weeks. This is the first cupcake tower I'm doing and I need to fit 100 cupcakes in the tower and a 6" cake on top. I purchased the Wilton "Towering Tiers Cake Stand" which has the following size plates: 8", 10", 12", 14" 16", 18". I'll be using the 8" plate for the 6" cake but need to know which other plates I will need to accommodate the 100 cupcakes. If you have experience with cupcake towers please let me know as I want to decorate the plates with silk fall leaves.
Also, would you recommend using tape to adhere the 6" cake to the 8" plate at the top. I'm worried it might fall if someone accidentally bumps the table. Thanks!!!

My understanding is that the entire tower comfortably holds 100 cupcakes, so you would be using all of the plates
