Im making a engagement ring out of gum paste to sit on the top of a bridal shower cake, it will be around 4-5 inches high . I was wondering what was the best way to attach it to the cake without it falling over?

Make a small gumpaste disc and stick it to that. It will stay in place when you put it onto a buttercream iced cake.

Or stick your ring down onto a fondant coated cake with a good glob of buttercream. Cover that with flowers or something else that goes with the cake.

I would love to see a picture of the end cake as I too have a similar cake to do next month (only it's 12 inch square). Please post!

Wanted to post the photo of the ring topper! I used gumpaste for the ring part and a plastic diamond. Worked out great because the diamond wasn't heavy, so traveled fine icon_smile.gif
