Real Ribbon On Cakes

Any ideas on how to properly attach real ribbon to cakes? I want it to look smooth and tight. Thanks!

Make sure you are irioning the ribbon on wax papaer so it does not pick up the oils from the frosting. I always just attach with frosint and never have any problems
