My coworker brought me some books today and one of the is the Wilton's Wonderland of Cake Decorating. It is the frst edition published in 1960 by McKinley Wilton & Norman Wilton.
And the other book is by Ateco simplified cake decorating thirteenth edition published in 1960 as well. This one didn't excite me as much as the Wilton book. You should see the pictures of these cakes back then.
Just sharing my excitement with you, have a great evening ![]()
Congrats on the find. The Wilton books from the 60s are fun to look through. I have Wilton's Modern Cake Decorating 6th Edition published in 1969. It is fully illustrated with pictures so you get to see pictures of all kinds of borders, piping techniques, fully decoed cakes etc. It is interesting to see how "modern" decorating was conceptualized fifty years ago.
