I have to do a jersey cake, somewhat like this one, but I was wondering how to get the fondant to have the definition between the body and the arms. I'm not sure how to do it.. here is an example:

You make fondant pieces for the sleeves separate from the body. You should look at a real jersey in a sports store--you will see that there is a diagonal seam from the neck to the underarm. So that is where you join your fondant sleeves. The lettering goes on top of the join.
