Hello,
Can someone advise me on how many cupcakes to make for a wedding with 110 guest?
Also, how far in advance can I bake and freeze the cupcakes?
Hi IFancy, generally you make 1 cupcake per guest. Ask your Bride if she wants more or if perhaps they are serving other desserts with this and go from there.
You can make them as soon as you need to, I do mine 2 days before hand but if you need to freeze them anytime is fine.

There are several factors to how many cupcakes they will need for 110 guests. Assuming that the cupcakes will be the only dessert option there, the biggest factor I find is how many different flavors of cupcakes there will be. 3 or less flavors, I generally recommend 1 - 1.25/guest. If you have more than 3 flavors, I find that people will take more than 1 cupcake because they can't decide which flavor they'd like and want to try a couple different flavors. Another big factor is how many children will be there. Kids will typically take more than 1 cupcake if given the opportunity
I specialize in cupcake weddings (I don't offer tiered cakes). I bake on Thursday, frost and decorate on Friday, then deliver on Saturday. I usually do 3-4 weddings per weekend during the summer and right now I'm doing everything myself (I don't have any employees).
I generally use 1 cupcake per person too because not everybody eats one especially with all of the other wedding food and sweets other than cupcakes.
A cupcake can be easily eaten in 3 bites. Isn't 1 cupcake equal to half a slice of cake? A box cake mix makes 12 slices of cake of 24 cupcakes. I would suggest 2 per guest if that's the only wedding cake or dessert.
