I tried some molded cake pops last week, using a silicone mold and the cake portion turned out beautiful. I was very pleased! Then, I tried coating them with candy melts (melted with some Crisco added,) and the candy melts were too heavy and the molded details did not show. Is there a way to thin the candy melts more, or a trick for this? Someone suggested to me a hairdryer on a no heat setting, but this seems kind of lengthy in time (though I am willing to do it this way, if need be.)

Thank you, in advance, for any advice!!

Although I have not used Wilton to make cake pops, I have used Merkens. I used them alongside paramount crystals to get them to a thinner consistency to dip the pops. You could possibly try the crystals with Wilton?
