I have the tutorial on the 3d spiderman cake that I'm going to attempt to make. I was curious, I do not own an airbrush gun and I haven't been successful at getting a true red crusting buttercream, any suggestions on either? The can spray paints? Or tips or tricks? Also I'm curious how the webbing under the face is done? It doesn't look like there is enough space to get under there? Thanks!
I am attempting to make this cake this weekedn for my best friends son. I am planing on using red fondant to cover instead of butter cream. I can not get butter cream true RED either. As for the webbing I plan on using fondant for that to. I hate royal icing, but only because I need to practice with it more. Good Luck and post pics
I can never get my fondant really red either! Any tips on that? I thought the webbing would be really tough to do with fondant. I can't wait to see yours! I have a little ways but I wanted to start the research now!
I am going to follow this tutorial http://frostingfun.blogspot.com minus butter cream plus fondant ( I hope) ![]()
Ai usually get the red i need by usind lots and lots and lots of coloring. its really bad when it tuns out pink. also there are different shades of red if you get the gel kind, so the darker one might work for your spiderman.
