I have a three tiered caddy wampus cake to deliver next Saturday. I bought Bronwen Webers stand but I have never made and delivered one of these before. I am concerned about the cakes sliding off the stand and cutting the actual holes in the cakes. Also, with delivering, do I put it in a box or take it just like it is? The cakes are going to be fondant covered with one being a zebra print, one being Cheetah and one being Giraffe. Do I decorate all the tiers completely before I put them on the stand? Any help with anything would be appreciated.

I just did my first one a few weeks ago. I'll tell you what I did, but hopefully someone with some more experience will pop in.
I would decorate before you put it together so your don't have to decorate on an angle or have to spin the whole cake around.
I have heard that people do transport assembled but I am just too darn chicken! I assembled on site. I regret not putting it together at home for a picture but I wasnt sure how well I would be able to pull it back apart again.

When your core your holes in the cake, keep in mind that the couplers are larger than the PVC poles. I put my holes right through, put my cakes on the plates with couplers attatched, filled, iced, and then put the pole through.I was too nervous that I wouldnt stab the cake centered to just jab my hole through after like bronwen does icon_smile.gif
I transported my unassembled cakes on top of the next size down cake pans with a piece of non skid mat under it to stop it from sliding around.
I was also terrified that my cake would rip off the pole but I watched that thing like a hawk and it didnt budge
Good luck icon_smile.gif They are such cool cakes
