Okay, friends! This will be my first attempt and I know pretty much how to do it but I have one question! I've never had to support so much weight atop a cake before so would I secure dowels (plastic and wood) as usual or should I look to more drastic measures such as pvc? I won't be transporting this cake.
Any experiences would be great, thank you!

I'd just dowel it with wooden dowels or whatever you normally use.
