I will be baking a 14 inch square next week and I am not sure how many cores to use ...any suggestions please.!!!!...help!!!!

I don't use cores or nails or any other nonsense. But then I only have 50 years of cake baking experience.

I would use three flower nails turned upside down instead of cores. You could probably get away with two. I was going to add how many years of baking experience I have but I'm only 46 so I can't beat Leah, heh heh heh

As long as we are bragging I have 22 years baking experience, that is if you count my Easy Bake oven that I got when I was 8....which I totally do.
