On Pinterest, I keep seeing entire cakes made of crisped rice cereal. They look pretty cool, but I'm wondering how you would keep that from being as hard as a rock. Has anyone done one?
Not a whole cake, but I made some Easter eggs out of RKTs this year. My basic problem was getting them to compact ebough to stay together! I suppose if the bars - either the commercial ones or the ones you cut yourself if you make these things at home - aren't rock hard, there's no reason why the cake should be. My worry would be that it would fall apart when you cut it, although I get that my problems with RKTs may just be a consequence of the hot, sticky climate where I live.
