Hi,
Take a look at this tutorial by Dawn:

This is the one I used the first time I tried Frozen Buttercream Transfer. When I tried it, I used SMBC, but I expect you can use pretty much any recipe and as long as you freeze it thoroughly it would work. Hopefully those how have used it more often than I will chime in with their experiences.
