Hi Everyone,
does anyone have any ideas of how to achieve this look? Of course I understand the design is painted, but I'm specifically talking about shadows and "drag marks. Thanks!

Dilute some americolor ivory in vodka and use a combination of paper towel and/ or sponge( make up sponges work great) and slowly dab and blend the color on your fondant. The drag marks can be made by dragging a stiff paint brush through a wet area of color. Continue until you are happy with results. Remember it's always easier to make the color darker so start light. If you get a spot a bit too dark, you can lighten it a bit using a bit of vodka on a clean paper towel. Let this dry completely and then start painting on your stripes.
Hope this helps! Good luck

To me this looks like the stripes and spots were painted on and then brushed before they were completely dry.
