Hi All
I am making a sewing themed cake this week and am working if anyone has any pearls of wisdom about how I could create the cotton reel centres.
Any thoughts would really be appreciated.

How about RKT wrapped in fondant/gumpaste? You don't need to have actual holes through it, just a layer of black underneath the top and bottom (which would be a layer of fondant/gumpaste with the triangular kind of holes cut out) so that it looks like it has holes. Or, if they need to be even smaller, just plain ol' fondant
