I did the ones in my profile picture without a veiner and I won an award for them

I used the green Wilton mold (I think it's actually a calla lily veiner but I'm not sure, it's the one that has the flower centers on it) on each petal and used a veining tool to "draw" a deeper line down the center of each petal. Very time consuming but the end result was worth it.

Wilton also makes a hydrangea plunger cutter/veiner that's in their new gumpaste flower set.
