Ok I have a wedding cake March 17 and she wants a 6" round, 8, 10, 12 inch square buttercream iced with a pearl border..... what size MM pearls would look better with the size of this cake? I will be using 1/2 foam core or drums under each cake layer so the pearls need to be big enough to hide the drums, as the bride doesnt want a buttercream border..... I have never made pearl strands so I will need to buy a pearl mold but Im not sure what size to get. Thanks for any help icon_wink.gif

Happy Caking!

Hi,

What you could do is, make a few fondant pearls (different sizes) and measure them to the side of yr foam core to get accurate measurements for coverage.
