OH my gosh, last night I went to bed thinking of cake designs and I had the funniest dream! I dreamt that I was marking out a grid on a sheet cake at a party and all the ladies were standing around the cake watching me. To my horror, they were grossed out! They kept saying things about how I was doing it and why I was doing it that way. I got angry and looked down and saw that I was marking out the cake with a hair comb! I was horrified that I would even do that and I was so embarrassed and I kept saying how sorry I was that I did that and I didn't know why I would do something like that. LOL! icon_eek.gif

I am cracking myself up here. C'mon, share your cake dreams. Hopefully they're more interesting than mine! icon_redface.gif

I have them all the time, but the latest was my aunt telling me she didn't need a cake after ordering it because there would be SO much food that they wouldn't need it. I called her the next morning to ask if she really said that or I dreamed it. She laughed and said "Nope - you dreamed it. Are you dreaming about cakes again?"

One day, there were loads of cake orders requiring the airbrush. Anyone that has ever used one knows what that does to your sinuses if you're not wearing a mask.

I'll just say, that night, the dream surrounded my nose and the beanstalk that grew out of it.

I'm still really new at this and I know this will happen more regularly but last night was my first cake dream! I went downstairs into my basement and it had water damage all over the floor and was spreading. I had these 2 cakes that my mom had taken from a wedding for me to see! Yes! I guess that means that she stole them! LOL Not sure how as they were as tall as the ceiling. And get this....instead of a cake board on bottom they were 2 big giant black men's shoes! And the cakes were the legs coming out of the shoes! And remeber they were as tall as the ceiling and for some reason the ceiling in my basement was a cathedral ceiling! Oh yeah! The shoes were about the size of a small car and the cake legs were probably 8 feet in diameter! OK!! LOL!!! Any suggestions on what THIS could mean??? Michelle

OK! Whew! Glad I'm not the only one to have funny cake dreams.

Now to analyze them, that's another thing! LOL.

Loved your cake dreams! Beanstalks and water flowing everywhere with huge men shoes. Wild! LOL. Don't you hate when you can't remember if you dreamed it, or if it was real?

Thanks for sharing! thumbs_up.gif

I have those a lot too. In the last one my husband said my cake due the next morning was sloppy and unprofessional. I had to ask him if he really said that the next day.
Another time I brought some extra cake to my neighbors and then I dreamed that they complained it was dry and nasty. I woke up clutching my chest and saying my cakes aren't dry and nasty.

My daughter's bday is coming up and she wants a wrestling cake, I guess I was worring about how to decorate, what it would look like and I don't want to embaress her...well, I had a dream that I got everything set up at the party and all her friends surrounded the cake, the comments were not nice, to say the least...They ended up stoning me with pepples. Where they got the pebbles, I don't know, but it hurt. I woke up swinging my arms to try and stop the stoning.

Its not cake dreams but baking related. When i was baking at the superstore during christmas i had to pan tons of buns and frozen cookie dough pucks each day. I would routinely wake up to my hands and arms "panning up" stuff. You should have seen the look on my bosses face when i told him. He actually suggested that i stop doing cookies for a couple of days and let someone else do them. icon_wink.gif
