THIS SATURDAY I BOUGHT AT A FLEA MARKET 3 SPRINGFORM PANS IN THREE SIZES THAT I CAN USE FOR A TIERED CAKE. THEY LOOK TO BE ABOUT THREE INCHES DEEP.
MY QUESTION IS THIS....CAN REGULAR CAKES BE MADE IN THESE PANS?
HAS ANYONE USED THESE FOR REGULAR CAKES AND DID THEY TURN OUT OK?
I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY INFO.
THANKS
DEBBIE

I make all my round cakes in springform tins and they turn out just fine. I do line all the bottoms with greaseproof paper just to make sure

I have bakers secret springform pans and have never had a problem with cakes sticking... i make sure to grease and flour the whole thing.. (eventhough they are non stick)

i bake in springforms sometimes, and once worked at a bakery where ALL the cakes were baked in springforms.

for using with batter, i would suggest placing the pan(s) on a cookie sheet, just in case of leakage while baking.
