I'm new to this forum, and to cake decorating. I have gotten a very nice set, with good bags and tips from Wilton. I have found a good icing recipe that is very good, nice and firm. But when the bag is in my hand for more than 5 minutes, it softens to the point that when I try to make flowers, it doesn't hold it's form at all, it just mushes all together. How can I prevent this from happening?
Thanks! ![]()
Hi,
Ita bc of the warmth of yr hands. Maybe try starting out with cold buttercrean to try and pipe flowers, it will give you some time before yr hot hands (lol) start to warm the bc again ![]()
