Hi, I am in Bridgewater how many are somewhat close to me? I don tknow of any cake clubs other than ICES. I am a member of ICES and have met some wonderful people there. Yes, its expensive but its a great club. I think the next meeting is in Middleboro but dont qoute me on that.
There is a cake weekend in CT this coming weekend if anyone is interested I am going to attach the information.

I would love to know what goes on at an ICES meeting. Do you all bring decorated cakes? Or, do you just discuss things and share techniques?
I am a little intimidated of joining because I've only been decorating for 6 months. 
Do you find that there are decorators of all skill levels that are members?
There are all different skill levels with the members in ICES. I went to a meeting recently and they had some wonderful decorators demonstate differnet techniques. First we had a brunch thenthe demonstration and raffles and poeple bring things to sell. They are about 3-4 hours long.
It's great! You dont bring cakes just yourself and money.
I'm in Rhode Island, Providence area. There's actually quite a few of us in the area!! I'd definitely be interested in any cake clubs or events. I haven't joined ICES yet but am planning to at some point.

Where in Worcester are there cake shops? I don't usually go that far, but if it was a really good shop I might. I'll have to check out party cake in Taunton. Where is Evies?? Somehow I missed that when reading this thread.
Hey MoiraRD, we are practically neighbors. We moved from Blackstone to Uxbridge a couple years ago, but my InLaws still live in Bellingham. Anyway, I am definately interested in a cake club too! I had posted this a while back, but only got a couple of responses.
I am definately going to have to check out that cake store as well. Sounds fun (and a money trap). I know this may be far for some of you, but in Cumberland, RI there is also another cake store (about 15 min from me) It is called Dyan's sweet tooth. If anyone wants directions PM me.

Hi Kelly! I used to live right near Cumberland, in North Smithfield, and we have friends in Uxbridge. I've never been to Dyan's sweet tooth but have heard of it b/c my father in law supplies that store with craft supplies. He keeps telling me I should go there. 
Anyway, it's nice to meet some people that live nearby!

I forgot to mention that there is a good bakery supply store in Lincoln, RI, called JAR bakery supply. Their address is 12 Crow Point Rd. They have a small showroom with some cake supplies(open till 3:30), but I mostly go there to buy stuff in bulk. I get 20 lb buckets of Satin Ice for about $50, and they also have smaller buckets of chocolate and other colors.
