Hi,
Have been checking out the Wilton web site and see they have something called Slide 'N Cut with a small clip on how to use it, it looks very good but I'm wondering if anyone here has bought it and if you have any feedback?
I don't want to invest in something that will be a lemon like the Wilton slicer which has been relegated to the back of the cupboard!
Also, how is this different then the small white rolling thing (can't remember what it's called but it has discs that can be changed for size).
Thanks
I looked it up. (http://www.wilton.com/store/site/product.cfm?sku=1907-1117). It's similar to a paper cutter.
The ribbon cutter (http://www.wilton.com/store/site/product.cfm?id=BA23EDC2-802D-F658-0457DE1C665B1CA4&killnav=1)
cuts several at a time.
I don't have the slide n cut but it says it's for the sugar sheets. I don't think it will cut fondant very well because of the thickness of fondant compared to a sugar sheet.
Someone gave me one for Christmas and I haven't used it yet. I just keep looking at the box...
I got one for Christmas. It's okay. I use it on fondant/gumpaste and it's fine. I wouldn't tell you that you MUST have one, but it's certainly convenient. Nothing I can't do with a ruler and my pizza cutter, though.
