I will be doing my first farmer market this spring/summer and I was wondering if you offer payment for products by credit card and if so how do you process the sale. Or do you only allow for cash payment only. Any information would be helpful, thanks.
there are apps for the iphone (and probably other smart phones) that you can run a credit card using the app. Otherwise I would say just do cash, I think many people shopping at places like that expect to pay cash (just like garage sale shopping) and will have cash with them.
That was what I was thinking as I have not upgraded my phone to a smart phone for apps. Thanks.
I agree about having people paying cash. If yor do decide to upgrade to an iphone or android you can use Square to take charge cards. I have friends that use it all the time. They say it is better than Paypal, but I have never used it.

I use Square at the market as well. . .up until I had it I never really had any inquiries about someone needing it, but then once I offered it I actually made quite a few more sales each weekend that I wouldn't have been able to make if I were only accepting cash. I say it's totally worth it to have it!
Well sounds like Sqaure is the way to go once I upgrade my phone. Thanks for all the information.
