Getting Minnie's Ears To Stand Up

I am making a minnie mouse cake with just the ears and a big bow in the front. What is the best way to make them stand up on the cake? Please help!

Hi, if it is a fondant cake, I would use skewers in ears and enough out of the ears to go down in cake. and i would use melted chocolate to glue on also. Same if it is a buttercream cake, but the b/c will be the adhesive. hth
