Piping Gel

I'm doing a cake and one corner of it is water, I am planning on using piping gel for this. However will it drip off the side of the cake? Should I put something along the edge?? It will be on display for 3 days.

It shouldn't... it's thick enough to stay on the sides of a cake (as in waterfalls).

I use piping gel quite often and it has never ran off the side of the cake, or down the cake. It's pretty thick stuff (most of the time) so you should be OK!
