Hi, I have a last minute request for a cake and I am thinking about doing this design.

it looks like it to me. I would say a #104. Best wishes.

I've always loved that cake but couldn't figure out how to do it! Will you start on the outside?

Amanda (iammommy and iambaker) only says this: "It was simple to do... I just used a decorating tip and went round and round with some glorious vanilla frosting." She doesn't say which tip.

I used a #403 tip for that cake.

Amanda is an absolute darling. As busy as she is with hubby and 4 kids (including babe-in-arms Eddie), creatively baking, and now doing a book, she has always graciously answered my few e-mail questions.

I did the cake today with a #104 and it worked pretty well. But it was not as beautiful as hers (in my pics)
