I know fondant falls apart in the fridge, but what about dried gumpaste flowers? I've got a cake with a whipped cream icing that needs to be refrigerated, so I didn't know if I should leave the gumpaste flowers off the cake until it is served. Does anyone have any experience? Thanks!

I have a fondant cake in the fridge with a gum paste figure never put a fondant cake in the fridge before but it is warm here in Texas lol I put it in last night and just gone to check the fondant is now shiny but held up and the gum paste figure looks fine, just touched it and was dry so I would think it is ok, you can always just put one flower in the fridge to test it

gumpaste should not go in the fridge, wait to put the flowers on until the last minute
