I had a request for cupcakes for a lady to take to work. She works in medical records. I can't think of a thing to do for medical record cupcakes. Any ideas?!

Thanks for the response icon_smile.gif I'm thinking medical records is probably not the most exciting theme for cupcakes.

I'm a transcriptionist. you could do a headset, phone... Little paper charts, pens, calculator. I'm thinking about things you can make out of fondant, btw, not sure if that's what you mean?

Tiny clipboards? Manilla folders? Filing cabinet drawers? Xrays?

You could make little clip boards with CPT or ICD-9 codes. That's the heart of all medical records. For example CPT 99291 = Critical Care, 780.60 is the ICD-9 code for fever.

I work in Medical Records. icon_smile.gif

I agree with the ICD-9 codes, you could use 401.9 (hypertension), 786.50 (chest pain), 496 (COPD), those are some common ones.

Little manilla file folders, write "HIPAA" on some of them, computers, staplers, pens, pencils, staple removers, telephones, any office things.

Are these for HIT week (1st week of Nov)? If so, this year's official theme is posted here http://www.ahima.org/events/recogweeks.aspx
