Started a project and didn't realize my heavy cream was expired 
I saw somewhere that you can mix whole milk with butter to achieve a heavy cream - will this work? I'm using it to fill and ice cupcakes.

I don't have that either. I have whole milk, Lactaid milk, and margarine. I would run out and get some, but it's nap time for the little one.
