Anyone have the scratch recipe? All Im finding are doctored or does anyone know how to convert the scratch white cake recipe for this? thank you
Couldn't you just add a couple of tablespoons of orange extract or orange oil to your regular white recipe? That's what I do to make lemon. You can also zest an orange and put it in the batter to give it a little color. I would also add some vanilla.
Hi, you might find help here.

I just made some curd with concentrated orange juice vs. fresh squeezed. The taste was more intense and may taste more "creamsicle".
Every Christmas morning, I make Orange Julius drinks from scratch. It's oj and milk plus sugar and vanilla. This combination may get you close if you have a milk based yellow or white cake. I always make up my own, so this is where I would start.
Don't know if it's THE ONE. But it is from scratch.

I don't have a recipe for creamsicle cake, but for filling.
I make a white chocolate ganache that is infused with orange.
Bring your cream to a boil with the zest of an orange in it. set it aside for a couple of hours to steep, off the heat.
Strain it and then heat the cream again to make your ganache as usual.
It tastes just like a creamsicle!

I had to google our names together, lol. I just throw in the links from my database indiscriminately. What would I do without my Bento database! I might have to go to therapy to let go of my information-collection illness, though.
I'm confused about "dreamsicle" and "creamsicle." Don't know if they're the same thing. But here's a recipe for orange creamsicle cupcakes in case you want to compare/combine with others.
