I just take luster dust (dry) and brush it over my fondant with a make-up brush (clean, of course and never used for makeup). Small brush for small fondant items, larger blush brush for larger fondant surfaces. I get a really nice sheen this way....HTH!

This is what we do to get our cakes to sparkle: We paint the outside of the cake with vodka (clear vanilla extract works, too), fold a piece of paper in half, put the sparkle in the paper, and then blow the sparkle onto the cake. Hopefully, this helpsicon_smile.gif

What do you use to blow the sparkle onto the cake?

One of these might be a good investment--cheap at any pharmacy:

I use the CalJava luster duster brush. It dispenses the dust and I just brush it on the cake. Super easy.

If you don't have that just use a regular makeup brush like someone else mentioned. Dip it and brush it onto the cake.

The other way with the vodka work great too. Lightly dip the brush in the vodka and then in the dust. Brush it onto the cake and there you go. Sparkly edible paint!

Good luck icon_smile.gif
