Just wondering has a great tried and true scratch apple cupcake recipe? Looking for something moist with or without chunks of apple. I'm working on creating a Caramel Apple cupcake and the only component I'm missing is a good apple cake! icon_biggrin.gif

I always just look on Allrecipes for a highly rated recipe of whatever I'm looking for. Just find a cake recipe and then experiment to see how it bakes up in the cups.

There's a couple of apple cupcake recipes on the Cupcake Wars website, I haven't tried them, but they're on my list thumbs_up.gif

This mightn't be what you're after, but I used this recipe:

and subbed out the banana for a 400g tin of pie apples and a teaspoon of cinnamon.

It's a heavier recipe though. I think it's the yummiest thing ever.

I use the strawberry cupcake recipe from Sprinkles but substitute the strawberries with apples. I use my cheese grater to get the 2/3 cup apple. I also add cinnamon. I've also use 3/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup brown sugar instead of 1 cup sugar.
