Looking For A Recipe For A Sturdy Cake
Baking By Staryberry Updated 27 Sep 2011 , 1:11pm by chocolatefudgecakefan
I am entering a cake in a cake decorating competition. The rules state that we must use real cake (not styrofoam), but the cake will not be tasted. As a result, I need a recipe for a cake that is sturdy, and I don't care how it tastes. I was thinking perhaps of a pound cake recipe but I'm open to suggestions
Does anyone have a recipe that would meet these requirements?
I too like the WASC cakes and I also like the "durable cake for 3d carving and weddings" in the recipe section here on CC.

I always refer to lindy smiths madeira for carving cakes.
