Hi....any tips on how to do a filled layer cake without the sides bulging?? I did a cookies and cream filled and a strawberry filled cakes for my sisters wedding and the sides kept bulging. No matter how much filling I used. (I did them 3 times trying to get it to work!)
and now, I've had people call to order a filled layer cake and I don't want to have the same problems.
Are you using a butter cream "dam" around the circumference of the layer before putting your filling on?
Also be sure the consistency of your filling isn't too thin.
