Please Help Me With Number Of Servings

A friend has requested cupcake baskets as centrepieces for her daughter's birthday party. There will 20 baskets and each basket will contain 14 cupcakes. That will be 280 cupcakes.
Considering that, how many servings of cake will be required? About 190 people are expected at the party. I'm estimating cake for about 100 people. Am I right?
Expert advise required.

So, some people will be eating cupcakes and some will have cake? Usually if you are serving cake you figure the amount based on the number of guests. Are the cupcakes just for show?

I'm assuming that because cupcakes will be eaten, less number of people are going to eat cake. I need help figuring out how many servings of cake.
