I would like to make homemade extracts.Is there a difference between homemade extracts and high quality extracts,flavor wise? Is it expensive to make your own extracts?

I only use high quality ingredients, so my cost is equivalent to top priced extracts. For example, I only use Grey Goose Vodka, which greatly impacts the price, but also incredibly impacts the taste.
