So I have request for a birthday cake completely made out of RKT. She said it's a new thing. Has anyone heard of this if so how do I decorate it, fondant or buttercream? It's cat in the hat theme so she thought a large hat would be cool. Any help or link is much appreciated

I would make your treat mix like normal, and when it starts cooling a bit, then start shaping it into the hat. When u have the desired shape you want COVER it entirely with Royal icing. This will help keep it from reshaping or sagging and will "glue" it together. If yo let the first layer dry then you can add another layer to help give it a smooth finish. I personally would use fondant so u can make it look clean, and smooth, (but add a tiny bit of buttercream on it before applying the fondant.
