Hello Everyone,

I have been asked to create a solar system themed cake pops for a childs birthday party. They want the cake pop to look like Saturn. I will be using white chocolate. My question is as followed:

1. Should I use fondant or modeling chocolate for the saturn ring?
2. How do I get the marbling effect for saturn? Will dusts show up on chocolate for the shading effect?

The above are just my thoughts. I am welcome to other's suggestions.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciate. I have attached a picture of saturn.

I think a solid modelling chocolate or gumpaste ring is better than fondant,
and for the marbling effect I would use edible paints or a little swirled piping gel colours, like they used on Cake Boss for the big solar system cake they made. I think the dusts would show up, seen as its white chocolate.

Hope this helps, Good Luck! thumbs_up.gif
