I am making my grandson's wedding cake for Sept. 24. They live 8 hrs from me. I am going to make the cake early and just freeze the cake only with plastic wrap etc.
What I would like to know: In Sylvia Weinstock's book The Art of Decorating Beautiful Cakes , she suggests to spray, paint a "wash" on the cake sugar and water with a flavor. My question is, should I spray this wash on before I freeze the cake or wait until I start to decorate the cake.Any help would be appreciated.
